Chipper and branch chipper - which to choose?
Tree felling or typical garden work such as pruning branches or levelling shrubs generate a lot of waste. The leftover branches can be used in a number of ways, but first they need to be shredded. This is where professional shredding machines come to the rescue, which are ideal for cleaning and maintenance work in the garden.
Chipper and branch chipper - what's the difference?
Although the names of these pieces of equipment are often used interchangeably, they are in fact two different machines. While both are used to process the residue left over from the care of green spaces, they differ in terms of throughput, capabilities and the technical solutions used. The branch chipper can shred larger branches and even small tree branches. With its help, they can be processed or ground into fine sawdust. It is readily used in forestry, municipalities or sawmills. With the branch shredder, on the other hand, you can divide branches into smaller pieces that can later be used to make compost, as tree mulch or for firewood. It is the ideal piece of equipment for standard garden work and helps to keep the plot or yard tidy. Tree fragments cut with the shredder can also be used as a decorative element. An electric shredder is best for home gardening as it is practical and easy to carry. A petrol shredder is better for jobs that require more power.
