Installation of photovoltaic panels on car park shelter

Replacement of carport roof with photovoltaic panels in Blielany Wrocławskie

Installation of photovoltaic panels on car park shelter

As part of the project, SOON ENERGY POLAND, a company specialising in photovoltaics, replaced the canopy of a car park shelter with photovoltaic panels. The investment was aimed at increasing electricity savings. The work took a total of three months, with a two-month interruption due to delays in the delivery of materials. In order to carry out the installation smoothly, the support of construction equipment rental company Ramirent in Wrocław, which provided the relevant machinery and equipment, was crucial.

The project included the use of a storage container and a social container, which provided adequate logistical and social facilities for the assembly team. Aluminium scaffolding facilitated work at height, while the two Compact 8 electric scissor lifts that were initially used were replaced by a Compact 12 electric scissor lift and a Haulotte 15SX dieel scissor lift, allowing for better efficiency in the installation of the photovoltaic panels on the shed structure. In addition, a JCB 9m telehandler with forks was used, which significantly improved the transport of materials on site. In order to properly secure the work site, openwork fencing was used, which provided security and access control. Thanks to the appropriately selected equipment, the implementation went smoothly, despite temporary difficulties with the availability of materials.

CHALLENGE

During the project, it was crucial to ensure the efficient replacement of equipment and to respond quickly to breakdowns resulting from severe weather conditions. During the course of the work, the lifts had to be replaced quickly and a starter failure in the Haulotte 15SX lifter had to be rectified immediately.

Thanks to the availability of parts in stock and the efficient organisation of the service, the fault was rectified in no time. A flight mechanic arrived on site within 2 hours of the call, minimising downtime and allowing work to continue as scheduled.
