Having your own home undoubtedly brings many pleasures, but also many responsibilities. One of them is such a trivial thing as regularly cutting the grass on the property. A lawn that is trimmed not only looks nice and tidy, but also results in fewer nuisance insects, including the ever so dangerous ticks, appearing on our property. Many people who have built a house have let themselves be carried away by the recent fashion for buying an electric lawnmower. But is it always the best choice?
Advantages of the electric mower
The electric mower works well on small plots of land. It works well on small to medium lawns, especially if the plot is level. The downside, however, is that its operation is limited by the cable. Firstly, the mower can only work where it reaches. Secondly, you have to be very careful not to cut it while working. For large lawns, however, petrol mowers work better. If you find it inefficient to mow your lawn with an electric mower, it's worth at least renting a petrol mower to feel the difference in comfort and only then consider buying one.

The petrol mower has one basic disadvantage. It is noisier and therefore more tiring when mowing. However, apart from this disadvantage, it is safe to say that it has only advantages. A petrol mower is much more powerful than an electric mower. Different models have different horsepower, but most of them can even cope with cutting wet grass. Mowers with large engines but no drive can require some force to operate, especially on uneven terrain. However, they are also extremely efficient. With this type of mower, you are not limited by the reach of the cable, so you can even get to the end of a fairly large plot. Most mowers are height-adjustable, so you can create the lawn of your dreams. Petrol mowers are also useful on construction sites, where the grass needs to be cut quickly and efficiently.
