Is a plasterboard jack difficult to use?

Operation of the gk lift

  1. Preparing the gk lift involves unfolding the base and making sure that the unit stands firmly on a level surface, as well as checking that the mechanisms, such as the arms and crank, are working correctly.
  2. Mounting the board on the plasterboard jack. Arrange the arms of the handle in a suitable manner, adjusting their width to the size of the plasterboard. Then ensure that the arm locking mechanism is secured.
  3. Fixing the plasterboard. Lift the board and gently rest it on the bracket arms. It is recommended that this operation is carried out by two people, especially with large boards. Make sure that the board lies stable and does not tilt from side to side.
  4. Lifting the slab involves locating the crank or lifting mechanism and turning the crank as recommended by the manufacturer to raise the slab to the desired height. The lifter is then gently moved, bringing the slab into position on the wall or ceiling and adjusting the angle of the handle arms if the lifter offers this feature.
  5. Mounting the plate on the wall or ceiling. Once the plate is in the correct position, use screws and a screwdriver to attach it to the profiles of the structure. Try to avoid over-tightening the screws so as not to damage the material.
  6. Releasing the plate from the handle. Once the plate is secured, unlock the arm handle and gently lower the lift.
  7. Completing the work - folding the unit. When work is complete, lower the lift arms to the lowest level.
  8. Cleaning and maintenance. Wipe the lift from dust and plaster residue. Check that all mechanisms are working correctly so that the unit is ready for the next use.

Features of the plasterboard elevator

Simple design
At Ramirent, the plasterboard lifts available for hire have a simple, mechanical design that does not require much physical strength. The plasterboard lift works on the lever or electric drive principle, making it easy to lift the plasterboard.

Easy to set up and adjust
The models of plasterboard lifts available from Ramirent allow for easy height adjustment, enabling you to tailor the tool to your specific job. This allows for precise positioning of the board on the wall or ceiling, reducing the risk of installation errors.

Friendly handles and controls
Plasterboard lifts are equipped with handles that provide a comfortable grip, making work more comfortable. In manual models, to lift the board, you only need to pull lightly on the lever, while in electric versions you only need to press a button to activate the lifting mechanism.

Safety
Many plasterboard lifts have built-in safety mechanisms including the lift available for hire from Ramirent, which prevent the board from accidentally falling, making work safe, even when using large and heavy boards.

Reduced working time
Although the initial set-up of the unit may take a few minutes, once the basics of operation are mastered, working with the jack becomes much quicker and more efficient compared to traditional methods of installing plasterboard.
