Drzeżewo Wind Farm
Sixty-three wind turbines will be installed at the Drzeżewo Wind Farm.
The project to install 63 wind turbines is another step towards sustainable energy and the development of renewable energy sources. The implementation of this investment started in November 2024 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2025. Vestas-Poland Sp. z o.o., a renowned leader in the wind energy industry, is responsible for the comprehensive execution of the project, bringing its experience and innovative solutions to contribute to the energy transition and increase the share of clean energy in the national energy system.
Construction equipment rental company Ramirent in Słupsk contributed to the project by providing the necessary specialised equipment for the installation of the 63 wind turbines. Telescopic handlers with a reach of 14m and 9m and 18m (8 units) were hired, they played a key role in the transport and precise positioning of the turbine components, enabling the heavy components to be handled at various stages of the work. Generators of 100-120 kVA (4 units) and 45-30 kVA (7 units) provided uninterrupted power to the construction site, supporting the operation of the equipment, while 15 lighting masts also enabled work at night, ensuring safety and continuity of execution. In addition, three fuel tanks with a capacity of 2,500 litres each, together with monthly refuelling of approximately 10,000 litres, ensured continuity of operations and the smooth running of the entire project.
CHALLENGE
The operation of this project is closely linked to weather conditions, which requires the machinery to be fully operational. Regular construction supervision ensures compliance with regulations, quality of work and safety. The crew has undergone the necessary health and safety training, and the constant mechanic service and regular refuelling of the machines have proven to be effective solutions to deal with breakdowns on an ongoing basis. Thanks to this, we have a quick overview of the technical condition of the equipment, which offsets the costs of repairs, transports and replacements, ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently. We currently operate bases in Grapice, Wykosowo and Drzeżewo.
