Modernization of railroad line 104 - Chabówka - Nowy Sącz
PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA has begun implementation of the long-awaited modernization of the Chabówka - Nowy Sącz railroad line. The investment will be crucial to the development of rail transport in the region.

The project, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2029, will reduce the travel time from Nowy Sącz to Krakow to one hour (from 2.45) and from Zakopane to Krakow to 1.40 (from 3.30). The investor of the project is PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A., and the companies involved in the project are Torpol, Intop Warszawa, ASB Budownictwo, RE Bau, Budimex S.A., Gulermak Sp. z o.o., Komplement, Konstrukcja PTM and Skanska.
For the project, the Ramirent construction equipment rental company in Nowy Sącz hired a range of essential equipment to support the construction work. Initially 2 generators were hired and this has now increased to 7, ensuring a stable power supply on site. Five sludge pumps are used for trench dewatering and other work. There are also mobile pressure washers (Petrol and Diesel) on site, 1 of which is currently on hire. To maintain suitable working conditions, 4 heaters have been hired, as well as 8 compactors. In addition, 10 gensets have been obtained on hire to ensure continuous power supply to the machinery. All this equipment enables the planned construction work to be carried out efficiently and effectively.
CHALLENGE
To meet the challenges, Ramirent provides rapid replacement of equipment in the event of a breakdown, as well as a rapid response from mechanics.
