Drilling of the S19 Babica tunnel
The project concerned the construction and drilling of a tunnel as part of the implementation of the S19 expressway near Babica.
The 2255-metre-long tunnel will consist of two tubes, which will be connected by 15 cross passages and an additional emergency passage to ensure the safety of users. A construction equipment rental company in Krakow, 250 Wielicka Street, contributed to this demanding project by providing two sets of scaffolding, enabling efficient and safe construction.
Construction work began in April 2022 and is scheduled for completion in January 2028. The project is expected to significantly improve transport, enhance safety and improve infrastructure in the region, thanks to advanced technology and appropriate equipment.
