The investment includes the construction of four road viaducts in Młoszowa, Wola Filipowska, Pisary and Niegoszowice. The description concerns the flyover in Młoszowa, the construction of which started in November 2023. The construction of the new road ‘behind the tracks’ is necessary due to changes in the railway infrastructure, which have reduced the number of available crossings. The increase in train traffic has resulted in frequent crossing closures, making communication difficult, which formed the basis for the investment.
The construction of the viaduct in Młoszowa was supported by the construction equipment rental company at 250 Wielicka Street in Kraków by providing the machinery necessary to carry out the work efficiently. Wheeled excavators (11 and 16 tonnes) and mini crawler excavators (8 tonnes) were used on the construction site, as well as dumpers with a capacity of 3 and 9 tonnes for transporting materials. The work was supported by wheel loaders - a Kramer 1.6t and two Volvo L30s (5t) with a sweeper. In addition, a mobile compressor, concrete vibrators, Brendon washers and 3 lighting masts were used to ensure work comfort. Adequate equipment facilities enabled the project to be completed efficiently.
CHALLENGE
The challenge was the need to quickly organise equipment for hire, which sometimes involved subletting machines that were not available in the standard offer. In addition, an important element was to ensure that the machines were serviced on an ongoing basis at the client's premises, and to have the flexibility to replace equipment quickly to maintain work continuity and not disrupt the project schedule.
